Summary

The Miscellaneous Receipt app collects the information required to receive found items into inventory. Found items are extra or unused items that are pulled from inventory but remain in the warehouse. For example, if a bill of material requires that four items are pulled from inventory, but only two are used to assemble a product, the remaining two items are considered found items.

Placing found items back into inventory creates a discrepancy between the item quantity in warehouse inventory and the item quantity recorded in the system of record. The Miscellaneous Receipt app allows you to receive found items into inventory. Using a series of prompts, this app guides you through the process of entering found item information. If the item requires a new label, this app also generates the data required to print the label.
